Resolved Question: What would you do if you won 40 millions?

I'd buy properties in places I like, send my kid to a wonderful private school, invest in renting properties, cease working, go on a holiday, have some cosmetic surgery ...aah... those lucky buggers that won the lottery!

Resolved Question: Now that it is possible to reconstruct the hymen, why does it still matter if a girl bleeds the first time?

People assume it's an islamic thing so I'm poppin it in R&S, but it's actually a cultural thing in parts of africa and the middle east (in some places the sheets are presented to prove consummation/virginity- to show the lady was a virgin and the man wasn't impotent). It has been possible to reconstruct the hymen for some time now (unlike artificial hymens, reconstructed hymens have blood vessels and bleed when torn). In parts of Europe it's subsidized in cases of sexual assault resulting in vaginal tearing, but it's also used by women from cultures that regard bleeding as important to either mask the loss of virginity or repair a hymen torn through injury. This being the case, the breaking of the hymen has very little meaning in this day and age, so shouldn't these traditions be done away with? That way women won't have to undergo surgery just to keep their "honor" in tact. I understand people have the right to cosmetic surgery and certain vaginal cosmetic surgery may improve women's self esteem, but in this case you are repairing something just so it can be broken again, which seems like a dumb reason to take the risks involved with operating. The question is- why does bleeding at the time of consummation still matter given the fact that the hymen can be replaced? People in these cultures are not ignorant of this fact obviously because women undergo the procedure, so shouldn't the tradition die off?

Resolved Question: Should I use my beauty & physically intimidate other women or laugh in their face?

I'm a 19 year old girl, I've got ambition and every I know is go to work, receive money/ receive 4.0 at college, but what drives my ambition is other women who think they can prey on other women cause they think they're like so damn beautiful and swag their Louis Vuitton handbags at my face and make me feel scared, you know the stare at you down method, or some of these b*tches would go as far as to challenge my confidence so I got sleepy off this and made clean-clip decision to kill these b*tches for good so when I was 18 I got cosmetic surgery and I now swag my Doll Face at other women, and I feel damn powerful and adore intimidating b*tches, it's either you let other women intimidated you, OR you can take matters into your possess hands and win this game. So, what I'm asking is, I'm Extreme, extreme person, so should I continue this "kill other b*tches using intimidating method, without being your face" or "I will intimidate you, and I will physically say it directly into your face that you're ugly, and SHOULD NOT cross this line, and cease challenge me, cause I'm baddest, and let go off your C.O.N.F.I.D.E.N.C.E not even your confidence cannot be compared to this product. Yes, I view myself as a product, a product guys can't touch that is.

Resolved Question: If sex reassignment surgery causes such large differences in legal treatment, then how is it merely cosmetic?

For example, whether or not a transsexual person can update their birth certificate/ID often depends on whether they've had it. Which bathroom they can use without legal question, which gym locker room they can use, which jail they would be held in every depend on whether they've had that surgery. If society demands surgery before a transsexual person can be treated truly as a member of their target gender, then why would they deny support/coverage for obtaining it by saying that it is merely cosmetic? Isn't that laying down burdens upon their shoulders without lifting a finger to help them? dj, The issue I'm talking about is cost, not setting standards. If a trans person meets the standards, but can't afford/can't receive insurance ot pay for the surgery, then that trans person will in many instances still be considered their birth gender, despite meeting the criteria for surgery. As for about what others think, it can matter if it's what legislators or judges think.

Voting Question: I have TMD/TMJ with my jaw. Please help me!?

For over 5 years now, I've been suffering with pain from tmj/tmd. One side of my entire head feels normal, while the other side is swollen and in complete pain ranging from my temple area to my neck, with the jaw area obviously being the worst/most. Things I've noticed visually is that the normal side of my face is so straight on the jaw line and perfectly curved in points, but my TMD/TMJ side has so many problems such as a crooked jaw line with downward and outward protrusions around the corner of the neck, swollen face, one swollen ear that seems crooked compared to my other, skin folds (nasolabial folds) over the lip area but only on this side, eyeball on this side seems to sink in to the socket more while my normal side bulges out, very dark circles more so on the TMJ/TMD side, 2 tiny pea size lumps below the skin in front of my ear, a noticeable enlarged zygomatic bone structure that protrudes outward only on the TMJ/TMD side, lower chin bone structure on the TMJ/TMD side. And the pain is obviously another issue. Some times the pain is extreme and acute, but even at the best times theres always some sense of discomfort and I feel dizzy throughout the entire day and night. I have not been able to seek treatment at this time because I currently can not afford to meet my insurance deductible or pay out of pocket for any work past a simple doctor visit. I've tried things to suppress the pain such as mouthguards, sleeping on my back, proper posture, eating softer foods, but the one thing to emphasize here is that the current state of my jaw is definitely not contingent on any action or movement I do. I'm not saying that I didn't cause my TMJ through such circumstances as its origin is unknown in my case, but there is so much misallignment that can be felt on this one side of my face that it would be crazy to think anything other than surgery could be an answer to reversing it. I'm sick of masking this problem. Does anyone know if medical or dental insurance would handle my condition? Sales agents will sweet talk you on either side into buying their policies so I want some real practical answers from people who can hopefully relate to these experiences. I need help, surgery hopefully, and I don't know where to seek it or what nice of doctor. Dentist? Oral maxilofacial surgeon? ear nose throat doc? Also, does anyone know if jaw correction surgery can fix these assymetries in my face? I can't afford out of pocket elective surgery for what may be considered cosmetic procedure by the insurance company. Therefore, I would wish that the physical appearance would reverse to a better state just as much so as the pain would reverse after I seek surgery (MEDICAL) for the pain. I've attached 3 photos of my face in a link below. The side looking to YOUR left if the bad side and the side looking to YOUR right is the good side. Please tell me what you would do in my circumstance in seeking to push forward the process of jaw surgery. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/718/pictureofme20.png/

Resolved Question: This girl ugly as f*ck and she swagging her ''confidence'', the other girl thinks she's just dumb?

Nina's View on Self Image & men: Nina thinks beauty is about the inside, and the personality dilemma, and swags her confidence, and when she sees Christiana , she acts scared, or nervous or tries to fix her makeup, btw, Nina and Christiana are both Italian- Americans and are friends. On men: Nina thinks she go for any race, and is not discriminate, and when Christiana asked Nina "Reaally, you're not racist AT every? Well would you date Black men??" Nina avoided this question. Christiana's View on Self image & men: Christiana thinks Beauty is not oonly just the personality crap, she thinks to kill other b*tches, cosmetic surgery is the way to go, so Christiana thinks Personality + Doll face is everything and she doesn't have to swag her confidence, when Christiana sees Nina swag her confidence, Christiana is thinking to herself "Oh my god, your face ugly as f*ckkk, just cease it, I got work done on myself, I earned my stripes,so cease it, you shouldn't receive credit" , her Doll face and boob job says it every. On men: Christiana is racist, therefore Christiana will only strictly date Italian men, her possess nice. and hates Black men.

Resolved Question: Why does my boyfriend force me to hang 500g earrings from my ears, and then complain that my ears look ugly?

Whenever I do something bad, for example, if I sneeze, my boyfriend forces me to wear these heavy earrings for a couple of hours to punish me. But he gets mad when my ears receive every stretched out and ugly, because he says that *he* shouldn't have to be punished for my mistakes. The only solution I look to this problem is never sneezing, but for some reason I just can't receive myself to cease. I guess I'm just a horrible person. I could receive cosmetic surgery to fix my ears every time he makes me wear the punishment earrings, but I'd have to probably sell my body to pay for it, since I only have a minimum wage job and most of it is spent buying lingerie, because I'm not allowed to wear the same set twice.

Open Question: Will I end up with loose stomach skin if I lose a lot of weight?

I already have a really flabby stomach with folds of skin (so gross, I hate it), which is primarily the result of a cesarian section a year and a half ago, also needy skin and muscle tone. I'm working on losing weight, but I'm worried I'll end up with a bunch of flabby, loose skin. Is this a justified fear? If so, is there anything I can do about it? (Other than cosmetic surgery.) If it helps, I am 32 and have been around my current weight (202) for 4 1/2 years.

Open Question: Should I carry medical papers to meps?

I have a surgical scar and I know they will require more information about it. I used to have pectus excavatum which is a birth defect that comes in the form of a sunken chest/sternum. It is mostly a cosmetic problem for people who have it and I have no history of it ever causing me health issues. I'm debating whether or not to just go to meps as if I don't have it and look if they discover it and question me about it or to arrive prepared with the papers of my surgery in case they find it and lift a flag over it. Can anyone give me some advice as to what I should do? And if anyone wants to give me the overview of the meps experience that would be chilly. I'm trying to join the coast guard by the way. Coasty mom, I'd probably like you if you weren't so damn psycho. How freekin long ago was it that we got into our argument? Do you just sit there and write down and memorize every the people you talk to and what you said to them? And how did you know that was me on the forum? I go by a different name on the forum. Seriously, relax a little bit. You are 100% insane. I'll bet your husband gets sick of you always lecturing people on how great he is every time someone mentions the words coast guard. PS. Thanks for the advice! Email me if you have any more info for me or just want to tell me off. Oh yeah, and "bra and panties"? I'm a freakin guy!

Open Question: I have lost over 120 pounds 8 yrs ago, my doctor says I need reconstructive surgery, HOW can I pay for that?

I am 30 yrs old, a student on a tiny fixed income. I am 5ft 0in tall & have a tiny frame. 10 yrs ago, I was morbidly obese at 225 pounds. I lost 120 ponds safely over the course of a couple years. I am & have been now 110 pounds consistently. The whole reason my weight rose so high was I had been placed on 3 different heavy medications at the same time. Later I was taken off every 3 medications & placed on 1 new med to specifically drop the weight, pretty much to cause the opposite effect. It worked, & now nearly a decade later, and for years have not been on any medication at every, my General Practitioner referred me to receive a consultation with a Reconstructive Cosmetic Surgeon. After the consult the office gave me a breakdown of what it will cost ----$13,000.00 total. Like I said, I'm am in college & my total income is about $800.00 a month ....this looks impossible, I am just trying to figure out how this can be done. I really appreciate any helpful comments. To clarify yes, I do have a lot of scarring( stretch marks & every) , loose & hanging skin, empty breasts, my face is sunken in & loose --This is not something I like sharing, as I am not proud of it & It breaks my heart, I know I don't look like other lady my age. They are not scamming me, it really IS necessary. Personally, I really am curious at holding the drug companies responsible...can you?

Resolved Question: army breast augmentation?

i am active duty. i am planning on getting breast augmentation. unfortunatly i am unsure of when my next pt test will be because i am currently 3 months postpartum. i am up for a pt test in june but am unsure exactly when they will decide to test me. i have always wanted this done, but im scared if i do it i will suffer consequenses. has anyone had experience with cosmetic surgery in the army? what did you or your friends do. i do not want to tell my chain of command what procedure im getting if it isnt necessary. thank you. i dont plan on going extremly big. i usually wear padded bras anyway lol, thank you for your answer. i just dont want to end up failing a pt test because of it. i think sick put it off until i take my test the lifting things shouldnt be an issue. i am a dental assistant in the army, so i have a pretty low activity job. i plan on taking leave for the time of initial recovery but it is 6 weeks before i can take an APFT. i was told i have to tell them i plan on getting a surgery but i dont have to tell them of what. i know its an acceptable surgery, but its akward to tell my commander who is about 60 years old and a male. i am also in a very tiny unit, where rumors spread quickly and people judge one another harshly. i think its my business and mine alone. i have decided to schedule my surgery for july, i am going to try to take my pt test in june as soon as i am off my profile. also im paying for it, thank you every for your answers!

Open Question: Fake teeth good or bad?

Hai im 17 and my top two front teeth are crooked, one is abscesed and cracked, very painful.. The other has a cavity the bottom front four are crowded and one sticks up.. They hurt and make me feel disgusting I have a really bad fear of dentists, so i have to be asleep for any work.. Which makes this too expensive to fix.. And even if this is somehow fixed.. They will still be yellow and crooked. So i wouldnt be glad and braces/ cosmetic surgery arent an option.. My mom suggested i have the front top ones pulled and replaced.. Maybe just remove one in the bottom removed to straighten them or just replace them every.. Anyways what should i do, am i too young for untrue teeth, do they look real? Thanks

Resolved Question: Why are people so judgemental and critical about cosmetic surgery?

Recently I've talked to my parents about getting a breast augmentation- I'm 18 years old and yes, you may say "you're still growing" or "don't be silly" but that's exactly what I'm here to talk about. Before anyone says "men don't like fake boobs" let's receive this straight- I am NOT doing this for anyone else, but myself, I'm doing it for my self-esteem and so I can feel more feminine and confident in a bikini. What I REALLY want to know is: Why people are so judgemental and critical of cosmetic surgery. And why do people that receive it done seem "frowned" upon by those who don't? every opinions welcome. Just curious. Thanks!

Voting Question: Can anything be done about cosmetic surgery gone wrong?

I had a nose job in 2001 and i was left with uneven nostrils, 'holes' round my nostrils where they didn't stitch me up right, its wonky and looks a mess. i went back and the surgeon said if you want it fixing you have to pay again. I was 21 and couldn't afford to pay twice. This was with the nuffield hospital. I know it has been 11 years, but can I do anything about it? Im planning on going to another surgeon this year to receive it corrected. It cost £2700 when I had it done.

I'm interested in breast augmentation, but i'm wondering about the cost. can someone just tell me ballpark what the surgery costs? you really can't google it- every site says arrive in for free consultation! Also, i've been told you can receive a cosmetic loan. How does that work? Do you go to the bank and ask for a loan? do you go through a credit card company and receive a personal loan? Or is there a place that you go that gives out cosmetic loans? You would think getting boobs would be easier.

Resolved Question: How do you justify cropping?

Seriously ? How can cosmetic surgery for dogs ever be justified ? Its really quite pathetic the way people try to justify it . Thats how they are ment to be , i hear that a lot . Oh really ? According to who ? The American Kennel Club ? Those that write the standard ? Its laughable. Here is another - Its no different from spaying . What a joke . So cropping prevents millions of irrisponsible owners breeding their dogs does it ? Can help prevent certain health problems can it ? The only reason people crop is for cosmetic purposes . How can you deny it ? Unless the dog is a working dog , there is plain and simple no need . Hopefuly America will receive with the programme and realise there is no justifyable reason to mutiate dogs , looks alone is not a valid reason . It really is a question .. for those who crop , why ? Do you have a working animal ? Then why is the need ? And history my ass , its the year 2012 , cease using that lame old excuse . In Germany where the Doberman originated it is illegal to crop the ears . I think you will find you Americans are in the minority and still trying to justify something that is quite simply - unjustifiable Julie - definition of cosmetic surgery - surgery performed to improve the appearance, rather than for medical reasons . There fore - cropping = COSMETIC surgery Bells - good to look you . Yes it did receive deleted . And i was going to gift you with BA . Simply your answer had me laughing every evening !! Was by far the best Bells not this again - i talk and write the one true English langauge not the bastidised American version . inbreds - Bells you arrive from us Europeans - You talk (or like to think so ) our language . With out us the superior motherland the Super power that is the USA ( Chokes on tea ) would quite simply not exist . And by the way - its only you North Americans who defecate on our language , across europe , Asia , Africa they are taught the correct English language . Where words such as vacation , mom (lol) and realize quite simply dont exist Tick tock .. how long till this one is deleted . Getting back to my original question - Bells you destract me- Working dogs may have a need to have ears cropped . Yes they could receive damaged etc while working . But for pet dogs - Julie , pray tell why ?

Resolved Question: If you ever feel as if you are not good enough?

Can you please share your story with me. I do not want self esteem help, this is not the case. I just want to look if other people have ever felt the same way I feel, please I repeat, do not tell me how you got over it or how to make myself feel better, that is not my question, I asked if you can share your story. This is my story: please do not judge, I wont either. I hate my body and looks. I hate my flabby arms, my protruding stomach, my fat thighs and big hips. Although, I am clinically not overweight I feel fat. I am also 5'0, too short, I know and I am 15 so I wont grow, ugh. I know I am not clinically overweight but I don't care, the way I tell whether or not I am fat is by comparing my body to celebrities because they are ideal and I want to be ideal to and compared to them I am obese, lol, and I hate it. I have dieted, starved myself, over exercised, abused diet pills, laxatives, water pills, went on accident diets, and even smoked to control my weight. I will do anything to be slim. I want a body like a VS model and I know that it is unrealistic because I am so fat and ugly. I have even considered cosmetic surgery, I need it, I need a arm lift, tummy tuck, thigh lift, butt lift, liposuction, breast implants, breast lift, chemical peel, porcelain veneers, and laser hair removal, and some other procedures but I will settle for these right now. I wished I had over flowing and long hair, clear skin, straight and pearly white teeth, and a slim body with big boobs, like those perfect VS models. I do like that I am smart and have a really good personality although, I am quite shy, lol, but we every know that these things are not as important as being beautiful, not to me at least. I always compare myself to celebrities and other girls at school, they are so lucky they are beautiful, slim, and popular, I wish I was like that. I have never been asked out and guys hate my body and looks and have always made fun of me and other girls have too, I hate it, I wish they did not make fun of me. I hate myself especially knowing that I will never be good enough and not perfect as those celebs and other girls in school, I cant deal with this pain, I hate it. I am not jealous, I just wished I was good enough for this society and for myself. Have you guys ever felt this way? Please share your story with me and please do not try to give me advice on my self esteem or tell me to adore myself or that I should think this way or that we are beautiful because if we were every beautiful then we would every be celebrities or models, so please be realistic and share your story please. I also wish I was better looking and have a slim body to be able to wear cute clothes, a bathing suit, and to receive a belly button piercing but I know that I will never be good enough, I cant even go to the beach, I have never gone because I am so ashamed of my body, ugh.

Resolved Question: Culturally speaking, what do you make of ''de-racialisation''?

Where people have cosmetic surgery to remove what are or what are seen as racial features. For example I saw a show a few months back, and it featured Koreans getting surgery to remove their slanted eyes, a black lady wanting the width of her nose reduced and a Filipino guy wanting painful surgery to lengthen his legs. What do you think of people who have ''de-racialising'' cosmetic surgery? For me that person would be difficult to respect.

Resolved Question: Should I get more cosmetic surgery to fix my left breast?

It sags slightly, I don't know why lol. I wasn't old enough to receive silicone implants when I got the surgery, and I don't think the saline ones look as good as they could. I mean they obviously look amazing, but they don't make me look like the prettiest girl in the whole world, because of the slight sagging of the left one. And I wanna be the prettiest girl in the world. So should I receive more surgery to make myself the prettiest girl in the world, even though I'm almost the prettiest girl in the world without more surgery?

Resolved Question: Do you realize it’s legal to keep a skunk as a pet in UK, but illegal to surgically remove its scent gland…?

…because such a surgery is considered “cosmetic” surgery on an animal? And that due to the discrepancy in these insipid laws, it is so impractical to keep a skunk as a pet that no one will do it? What’s up with that?? http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wood-pussy/105768636130700?sk=wiki “Domesticated skunks can legally be kept as pets in the UK. However, the Animal Welfare Act 2006 has made it illegal to remove their scent glands (it is considered to be a cosmetic operation), thus making them impractical as pets." @Clearly, Pepé Le Pew is writing legislation in the UK.
